The chapter of Beta Tau of the University of Mississippi would like to share its wonderful news with the Southeast District. After careful planning and positive recruitment the Beta Tau chapter has eighteen membership candidates. Currently we only have ten active members in our chapter and have been working very hard to increase our numbers with quality girls who exhibit the qualitites of a Tau Beta Sigma member.... This band session we, the Theta Upsilon sisters of Tau Beta Sigma have engaged in fundraisers and activities to help the band and our chapter. The activities we have done with the band so far this year is inventory of uniforms, to help show the university the band needs new uniforms. We are having a "Band Aid" that will consist of many different fundraisers from candy sales, coin drives, and getting donations from alumni and the community to help get the money needed for the new uniforms the band will get next year. ... This year, Theta Lambda is redefining the motto "It is an honor to be selected to serve." We are getting back to the basics of what Tau Beta Sigma is all about—service. The sisters of the Beta Xi chapter in Gainesville, Florida have had a very productive fall semester. With twenty-two active and very enthusiastic sisters our chapter has been busy as bees. We have implemented changes in membership education, swapped service with our brother chapter, completed a constitutional revision, and come up with new fundraising projects.... (read more)

The past year has been a very involved one for the brothers of the Iota chapter. After last spring’s festivities of District Convention and D-Day, we initiated six new brothers: Ye Royal Court of Balls.

This fall, the chapter has been extremely busy. One of our major projects involved the construction of a forty-eight foot wooden deck for the band directors in the football stadium. As a result of stadium renovations over the past year, the existing deck was removed. Iota brothers provided much of the labor for the planning, logistics, and construction of the deck. ... Sick of car washes and yard work? Looking to freshen up your fundraiser repertoire? Look no further than your school's crazed fans.

In the fall of 2001, a few Kappa Beta brass players had an idea - what if they roamed Clemson University's campus on home game days and played "Tiger Rag" for the tailgaters? It would increase the fans' awareness of Tiger Band and Kappa Kappa Psi, and would provide an excellent time to solicit donations - when school spirit is high. Most of all, it would be fun to do....
